About The Event

Yellow Talks is combination of many 15 minute power lectures from our distinct speakers to provoke curiosity and encourage you to harness unconventional ideas daily. This Mumbai edition of Yellow Talks dons the theme of 'Exploring New Ways'. Exploring New Ways will explore how change begins with innovative thinkers who share big ideas and catalyze action towards them.
In this program we’ll hear from a Design expert, a Film decipher, a Start up Specialist, a Cartoonist, a Labour Science Oracle & an Entrepreneur with the kind of ideas that ignite imaginations. Intuitive and loaded talks lead you to a newer dimension and provide new perspective. Come & Explore your Way.

Yellow Talks is an organization setup to bridge the gap between winners and aspirers. We believe in most basic yet important elements of learning i.e. being curious and transcending knowledge. All our activities are aimed to foster inspiration and provide direction to the young leaders for a better & sustainable future from winners, change makers and leaders. Like everyone, Yellow Talks wanted to discover the best way to learn. Yellow Talks found that, Vedic era is considered to be the most prosperous time for knowledge creation and expansion. According to Vedas being curious and transcending knowledge from the pristine source were most powerful and essential blocks of learning. Yellow Talks strongly believe to inculcate the similar culture in today’s world with the help of our speakers.

Prof.UdayAthavankar, Professor of Design, Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay

Prof.UdayAthavankar was trained as an architect and worked in that field for 4 years before switching over to Industrial Design. He studied Industrial Design at Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. For over 38 years, Prof.Athavankar has been dividing his time between design education, design research and design related consulting for companies.

Neil Sadwelkar, Editor, Techie, and Edit Systems Consultant

He spends most of his waking hours working as an editor, a consultant on data and workflows for movies and Television and an occasional teacher and writer. In his spare time, Neil conducts workshops on editing at the Film course at Whistling Woods International, FTII (Film & Television Institute of India, Pune), MET (Mumbai Educational Trust). He was credited for movies like Slumdog Millionaire, Fashion, Rock On, Don, The Bright Day etc.

AbhijeetKini, Illustrator, Animator & Founder – Plan B

Abhijeet has been illustrating from 12 years in publications, magazines and comics, like Tinkle, DNA, Hindustan Times, Random, Timeout Mumbai etc. He is creator of famous comic characters like Angry Mausi, Bilaw Manus etc. Also founded creative service company called PLAN B, which offers variety of services ranging from animation, design and comic publishing.

Prof.Bino Paul, Centre for Human Resources Management and Labour Relations, TISS

Prof. Paul is an expert in the field of Labour Markets, Social Networks andKnowledge Activity. Post his doctorate from IIT Bombay, he has been associated with prestigious organizations like TISS and TA Pai Management Institute. Successfully published his insights about labour relations and knowledge activity in various reputed journals.

Ajit Joshi, Start-up Specialist & International Operations Expert

Ajit has more than two decades of diversified experience in India, Middle East and South East Asia in areas of Finance, Legal, Assurance, international operations, HR and corporate governance. Spearhead various JV’s and start-up operations internationally. A meticulous planner with strong analytic ability .His expertise / passion include mentoring start-ups, developing growth strategies, building scalable business models & sustainable organizations.

Fahim&Tauseef, Founders – Be The Local Tours

Born and brought up in Dharavi, Fahim and Tauseef currently pursuing graduation in the field of commerce and science respectively. Financial problem for education compelled them to think 'out of the box'. Seeing an opportunity in the tourism industry Fahim and Tauseef founded "Be The Local tours" in March 2010 with the vision of offering tourists a unique experience of "the other half of the city" through the eyes of local students.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Age limit to buy a ticket: 10 years and above.
  2. Passes are issued according to the rules and regulation of the event organizer and the management of the venue where is presented.
  3. The right of the admission reserved with the organizer.
  4. Seating on first come, first basis only.
  5. The organizer reserves the right to frisk the passes holder at the entry points for security reasons. Your co-operation is required.
  6. Patrons will be made to wear wristband and will have to retain the wristband with them till the end of the show for security reasons.
  7. During the event, no replacement wristband will be issued in case it is lost. Removed or transferred wristband tickets will be considered invalid.
  8. Re-entry is allowed, subject to wrist band.
  9. The organizer does not take the responsibility for the loss or theft of any personal belongings or any injury that the ticket holder may accrue at the event.
  10. All cell phones must be silent/airplane mode inside the venue once the event commences.
  11. Objects like matchbox, lighter, cans or tins , sharp object, Arms and ammunition, food, beverage, water bottles, etc. are strictly not allowed into the venue.
  12. No duplicate ticket will be issued of lost or stolen tickets.
  13. Smoking and drinking is strictly prohibited.
  14. Entry shall be permitted to guest only above the age of 10 years.
  15. Organizers reserve the right to perform security check on invitees/members of audience at the entry point for the security reasons.
  16. Any inappropriate behavior by any of the patron shall lead to eviction of the holders from the venue after they have entered the ground.
  17. The organizers reserve the rights without refund or other resource, to refuse admission to patron found in breach of these terms and conditions including, if necessary, eviction of the holder/s of the ticket from the venue.
  18. Internet handling fee and service tax per ticket may be levied. Please check your total amount before payment.
  19. Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.

We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior at the venue to grab the best seat.
