On behalf of the DEEPANJAN Charitable Trust,we are celebrating Menstrual Hygiene Day 2018, New Delhi. We take an immense pleasure in inviting you to participate in this event on 28May 2018 to be held at India International Centre, Lodi Estate, N. Delhi.
We shall be collaborating with WASH United, Germany, the organization which initiated Menstrual Hygiene Day celebrations. Our Event has been taken up by them and shall be posted in the international calendar.
Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD) is celebrated on 28 May every year to break the silence and create awareness about hygiene in enabling women and girls of reproductive age group so as to enable them to manage menstruation with dignity and normalcy, as this remains a challenge across the globe. MHD is celebrated to create a platform to promote menstrual hygiene.
On 28 May 2014, MH day was celebrated for the first time.
Our humble attempt is to spread this awareness and empower the women and young girls to manage their challenge in the best possible way. We envisage distributing sanitary napkins in the urban slum areas of Delhi in a regular manner.
Program structure for this year event shall be: Conclave. Eminent speakers on the said subject. Panel discussion, etc.
For this higher purpose, we require your strength and support. We are hopeful that you will participate in this Programme and be the torchbearer for its success.
