Every Year April 26, CII celebrates World Intellectual Property (IP) Day to learn & promote the key role that Intellectual Property Rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright) play in encouraging innovation and creativity. To give you a brief background, the theme for World IP Day is set by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a United Nations (UN) specialized agency, dedicated to the promotion and use of IP. This year’s World Intellectual Property Day theme i.e. - ‘Powering Change: Women in innovation and creativity’, celebrates the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity and courage of the women who are driving change in our world and shaping our common future.
