INTRODUCTION

What is Project Management?

Project Management is the application of the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to the project activities to meet the project requirements.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification 

The Project Management Institute (PMI) is a global non-profit professional organization which sets standards for project management. To set global standards, PMI regularly publishes project management standards in the form of book called "Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge". Current edition is Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) – Sixth Edition (2017). All the industries across the world rely on PMI’s project management standards when they take up complex projects.

To enable the project management practitioners to practice the global standards, PMI launched the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification program. Certified PMP credential from PMI is accepted globally over the last 25 years. This credential helps project managers to highlight their capability among employers, clients and colleagues that they follow a structured approach, methodology, tools and techniques aligning to PMI’s global standards to bring projects to successful completion.

Training Overview

This program is designed with an objective to enhance the knowledge level of present and upcoming project managers and to guide them to prepare for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification examination. This is an interactive workshop which introduces the fundamental concepts of Project Management.
