Discover and explore Madhubani painting techniques by the father and son duo, Vidyanath Jha and his son, Krishna Kumar Jha. This workshop participants will be provided with a hands-on understanding of all aspects of Madhubani, such as its history, motifs, themes, designing, and colours. Each participant will be guided to make their own masterpiece. There will also be a display-cum-sale of the artists’ masterpieces, and the participants will also be able to take home their own work of art.
Similar to the significance of nature in Madhubani, the current exhibit at Piramal Museum of Art explores the connection between nature and culture. On display till August 27, the exhibit showcases the story of seven types of local crafts across India through five-fold classification of land – mountainous, riverine, coastal, desert and pastoral regions.
