About the Destinations:
Discovered by Lord Curzon during the Bristish Raj in India, the Winter Kuari Pass Trek in the Garhwal Himalayan Range originates from Joshimath in Chamoli. The hike to the Kuari Pass is one of the most enthralling treks in this range and is known for the panoramic views and challenges it offers.
From the pass, one can enjoy the captivating views of other scenic ranges like Kamet (7,756m), Trishul (7,120m), Chakhamba (7,128m), Nanda Devi (7,817) and its twin Nanda Devi East (7,434m). Also known as the 'Curzon Trail', this trail takes you through the confluence of several brooks, scenic Oak and Deodar forests, verdant meadows or ‘Bugyals’ and rhododendrons. On some occasion, you can also come across the footprints of the rare Himalayan Bear or Leopard.
This snow-clad trek also takes one through other passes- the Vinayak Pass, Tali Top and the Kuari peak. As you are traversing through this Curzon trek, also get a chance to feast your eyes with one of the most mesmerizing skiing destination in India, Auli.
