The One With A Plan has very thoughtfully curated a day outing for all history lovers, who would like to stroll through some of the amazing architectures and stories that the history has gifted us.
We plan to start from Ahmedabad in an AC bus, we would reach Modhera in 2-2.5 hour, take a walk through the ASI museum and the courtyard of the mesmerizing Sun temple and adjoining step well, then we quickly move to Ran ki Vav, which is 30-35 min drive from Modhera and be lost into this amazing piece of architecture which has been recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will appreciate the beauty of the Vav, along with hearing some of the amazing stories behind it. Then after quickly visiting the Patola Museum and taking our lunch on the way, we would reach to Siddhpur. Siddhpur has been a significant part of history, which was long ignored. However recent recognition by Bollywood flicks like Raes and Mitron (Kamariyan Song) have started to revive the lost glory that the city deserves. We would visit Rudra Mahalya, which is a 1000 year old temple dedicated to lord Shiva, then take a break at Matrugaya temple and finally visit Voharwad. This puts an end to our day long break dedicated to our glorious past and then we return back to Ahmedabad.
