Sreenidhi cancer foundation is a student-run organization dedicated to help and aid the cancer affected people emotionally and psychologically.
Sreenidhi Cancer Foundation club was formed on 15th February 2015. It drew an inspiration from Shravani, a 9-year-old girl affected by leukemia. The innocent helpless face of the young girl hailing from a mediocre family whose financial assistance was not well and who hardly knew anything about what she’s going through has made a student of Sreenidhi Institute ofScience and Technology to start this organization.
Thus bloomed the idea of SCF with a motto to spread the smiles among these children.
MISSION :
Our main motto is to give hope to people suffering from cancer and spread awareness about cancer among people.
VISION :
• We look for a society where no child suffers lack of love, care, and medical amenities
• To emerge as an outgrown tree of services saving millions of children
We conduct a 2k Walk – WALK FOR A HOPE every year. This walk is an annual fundraising event and the funds raised are used to help people suffering from cancer.
Apart from this events, SCF plays a major role in BLOOD DONATION CAMPS. It connects various people to ease the process of blood requirement. The AYUSH team of SCF plays this crucial role.
SCF also creates awareness among the people of rural areas by conducting awareness and medical camps across various collaborations in the city.
We work with the motto of "WE CANNOT DO GREAT THINGS BUT SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT HOPE". We believe in HOPE and we are the HOPE to these desperate people suffering from cancer.
WALK FOR A HOPE :
Walk For a Hope is an annual fundraising event of Sreenidhi Cancer Foundation (SCF). Every year we conduct a walk which is of 2 to 5km in the month of August or September which is conducted as an event with some cultural programs, guest lectures and the flash mob and at the end, all the participants have a walk of nearly 5km. Sreenidhi Cancer Foundation works for this event with a cause. The funds raised by this event will be utilized for the fulfillment of that cause. College Management and Students support us in this event. Different College Students will participate in this event. Youth are mostly interested in the event, they participate in a lot of excitement. All the participants support brings us the confidence to do something best and a
hope of life in people affected by cancer.
We may be the initiatives but without you we are nothing. Everyone’s support is making us to do a lot and a lot of good things. Hope this support remains the same and many more hands are yet waiting to join. Come let’s join hand and hand and save the lives of people affected by
cancer.
