A 2-day masterclass and hands-on workshop to introduce fundamental aspects and creative possibilities of virtual reality and augmented technology.
This masterclass and workshop will get participants deep dive into the initial learning curve necessary for making creating their own virtual reality (VR) experiences & content, covering both current thinking in VR storytelling techniques through to hands on practical experience of using the Unity games engine to create interactive, real time VR content.

A year later, when 360 videos became a newsfeed feature on Facebook's wall and Google Cardboards shipped over 5 million internationally, Virtual Reality finally became a buzzword across industries and investors.

This entirely new medium has re-written all the rules of the ways we experience digital products and services expanding beyond flat, 2D screen based experiences for desktops and mobile devices and proving their utility value.
VR, AR, MR are now all the rage with new cameras to record, new devices and apps to watch MR across every vertical. HTC Vive, Samsung Gear, and others are all rapidly staking out their respective ecosystems.

Attendees will learn how to create and manage immersive technology environments, design 3D scenes and be taught the essential element of interactivity using so that they can move forward with their own projects and continue developing in their own time.
Lastly and more importantly, we will bring you through the theory and technicalities of the process and what it takes if you wish to get started with your own Virtual Reality journey.

As part of the 2 day immersive workshop, your team will get the opportunity to experience a suite of the latest products being offered in Augmented and Virtual Reality.
Prerequisites
Ideal participants should have a desire to explore the practical use of virtual and augmented reality as a new experimental medium. It is expected that all participants are complete beginners to Unity Games Engine.
All participants must bring their own WIFI-ready laptop preinstalled with the latest version of UNITY from the unity3d.com website for use during this workshop.
Optional: Related experience in audio production, digital animation, video production, image editing and general digital content creation is helpful though not essential.
The workshop is an intermediate graduate level workshop. Please contact us if you have questions about the pace or content.
Participants must be comfortable with fast-paced learning environment.
Proficiency in English
A mobile phone(with gyrometer/gyroscope) and a VR device for testing the VR experiences built. (iPhone 5 and up, Android “Lollipop” 5+)
