 Why Internet of Things?

The Internet of Things (IoT) has the power to change our world. IoT will play an important role in the future and there is expected to be a significant amount of cash flowing through the market in the up-coming years. Over half of major new business processes and systems will incorporate IoT elements by 2020. The impact on consumers lives and corporate business models is rapidly increasing as the cost of instrumenting physical things with sensors and connecting them to other things devices, systems and people continues to drop. Its all about the connection of over 8 billion different devices and the info that comes from them.

IoT is important because:

It creates a network of connected devices that can work both independently and in sync to deliver a more sophisticated, one-mind tool
It allows for better, more precise data gathering (city lights and traffic, tools, people and products management in factories)
It helps to improve products and services through data gathering, processing and analysis
It gives the upper hand to companies and public organizations who use IoT, because knowledge is power
