About The Event

What is Designathon?

Designathon is a hackathon for designers and front-end developers. It is an attempt to promote appreciation design thinking among startups and train designers to build the next wave of world-class Indian products. This build on the Design Day initiative by TLabs, one of India’s premier startup accelerators.

This is a chance for you, who have an itch to change when you see something not done right, to shine under the Sun. During this 28-hour event, you will get to work on host of cool design challenges (brought to you by our partner companies). The best team wins ?1,00,000 in cash.

What do I get?

Awesome Speakers and Mentors: Hear and get inspired by two great creative minds and what ticks them. You will also be mentored by some of the best designers in the community.

You get to spend a whole day working on web and mobile design challenges. It is your chance to spend 28 hours thinking about ways to build a quick and beautiful product and get slightly richer. Participants of this event would be given interesting web and mobile design challenges to solve in a team of 2 or more. The best 2 teams would take home cash prizes worth ?1,50,000 sponsored by Times Internet.

The cost of registration is ?500, but you will get much more in return. Each participant will receive a goodie bag that includes ?500 voucher from Indiatimes Shopping and one month subscription of both Gaana+ and BoxTV and a lot more!

Not to forget beer, music, food and an opportunity to network with some awesome designers like yourself.

8:30 PM, Day One: Dinner and team formations
9:00 PM, Day One: Registration of teams, competition begins
6:00 PM, Day Two: Deadline for submission of team solutions
6:30 PM, Day Two: 4-min solutions by each team
7:30 PM, Day Two: Declaration of results
8:00 PM, Day Two: Dinner and beer
