Tinkering - think, design and build

About The Event 

 The joy of making and expressing yourself creatively and the fun of giving shape to your ideas can not be expressed in words. Tinkering is all about that.  The application of science to create something useful and solve the problem is what tinkering is all about. If you fail, try again - that is the critical essence here. Some of the prototypes you would design and build are – 

1. Roller Coaster 
2. Maglev Train 
3. Line follower robot 
4. Fastest finger first project/ Dismantling and assembling an IC Engine 
5. Light sign 
6. Water level switch/Bike Assembly 
7. Vacuum cleaner 
8. Bubble machine 
9. Make a battery using fruits, vegetables and metal electrodes. 
10. Make a periscope using mirrors and cardboard or plastic tubes. 
11. Make a DC motor and make it work using a solar panel 
12. Make an alarm circuit that starts buzzing before the water tank starts overflowing 
13. Make a light spot dance using sound 
14. Make a fire extinguisher 
15. Make a soap film to simulate the cell membrane. 

Duration: 4 hours a day for 5 days. 

Minimum Age: 13 years.

Experient Science Labs, founded by Virendra Paliwal, an XLRI and Infosys alum, in 2017, has a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 2700 square feet. It is a go to labs for school students, our lab has been the venue for over 200 experiments and tinkering activities conducted by more than 3000 students over the past seven years. Serving as a hub for research and exploratory work, our lab is favored by students pursuing their international syllabus. At Experient Science Labs, we are deeply committed to experiential learning in science, firmly believing that it is the cornerstone for fostering a lasting interest in the subject and nurturing a scientific mindset in students. We advocate against rote learning in science, advocating instead for a hands-on approach that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to India's sustainable advancement in science and technology, thereby fostering a nation with a robust scientific foundation.
