Social work is an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary profession, as it draws from a number of areas, such as, but not limited to psychology, psychiatry, sociology, politics, criminology, economics, ecology, education, health, law, philosophy, anthropology, counseling, environment, management, etc. Thus this conference explores its relationship with other disciplines, its scope and limitations, similarities and dissimilarities and ways & means to empower social work and other professions through research.

This will generate more studies and research, perspectives, employment opportunities and extend social scope across multidisciplinary professions establishing itself as an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary profession, Social Worker as an Identity and Social Work as a Profession. This will also bring ISBN Volume(s) of empirical research, social work as a multidisciplinary profession. This is one of its unique kind of conference that was ever conducted in the History of Social Work in India and shall provide emphasis direction to the future of Social Work Education and Profession.
