Join us for a quintessentially Hyderabadi experience as we eat and drink our way (a dozen drinks and dishes in seven places!) through the the Charminar area.
With Ramzan approaching, the lanes around the Charminar are transformed into one giant outdoor mall. As people spend hours out there shopping, there are a bunch of food and drink options that cater to their hunger and thirst, including haleem, the famous post-fast food of Ramadan. Some of the city’s finest old restaurants are in the area and each has its own set of delicacies.
We will spend about 2.5 hours walking around and eating in this wonderland, taking in the sights and sounds (and smells!) while listening to stories about the places we are walking in. We will sample food at the most famous places as well as a few secret ones that are tucked away.
The fare we will sample includes two haleems, two kebabs, three chais and a few secret dishes. In all, we will sample a dozen dishes / drinks at seven different places. This is the equivalent of a full meal - so make sure you bring empty tummies along! We have everything you need on the walk - water, tissues and some juice to keep you hydrated.
The walk will start at Hotel Nayaab at 7:30PM sharp. Please plan to arrive about 15 minutes in advance so you can spot us and join in.
