91springboard is organizing a Talk on Fundraising. Seasoned mentor and expert Ajeet Khurana will share his experience and expertise during the session.

This is an interactive talk session with Mr Ajeet Khurana on January 23rd, 4 PM to 6 PM.

During the round table, our speaker will cover the following topics:

 - Fundraising- Overview

 - Stages of Fundraising

 - When to look to raise funds

 - Various Avenues

 - Life after fundraising

This will be followed by a Q&A session, where startups get to ask question, tell them what their biggest challenges are and seek advice and mentoring.

More about the speaker

Ajeet Khurana wears many hats: author, angel investor, mentor, TEDx speaker, and former CEO of IIT Bombay’s business incubator, among others. Before all this, he himself was entrepreneurial twice in the field of education and web publishing. As a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, he taught ecommerce back in 1993, when the term 'ecommerce' had not yet been coined.

An undergrad in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai, and an MBA from the University of Texas, Ajeet is presently one of the most active names in the startup ecosystem.

Some of the companies where he is an investor / mentor are: Avaz, Carve Niche, GodCast, Holamed Healthcare, Koonk, Leaf Innovation, Maximojo, Omnikart, PickMe eServices, PlanMyTour, RainCan, Rolocule Games, Shephertz, SnackExperts, and StitchWood, among others.

In his opinion, Here's what he does to add value:

* Conceptualize new businesses, build team, go to market, and scale

* Own responsibility for P&L, strategy, and direction. Manage growth, acquisition, and alliances

* Formulate and implement digital strategy – search, social, content, community, and mobile

* Source and evaluate business opportunities, perform due diligence, structure and close deals.

In addition, he writes a lot. Many valuable relationships he has developed are with people who first got in touch with him after reading his views (or books).
