Cartographic representation is an age old method of recording history. This will be the method to unfold the story of Delhi's village commons and therefore of the village communities over the first century of New Delhi, 1911-2011. The year 1911 was the watershed in Delhi's rural history. The story of the peopling of New Delhi will complete its first century no doubt but little is known about people of those hapless village communities who had to make way to make it possible.
