Tadoba National Park is situated in Chandrapur district. Often called the ‘Jewel of Vidarbha’, it is the largest national park in the state of Maharashtra.

Overview:

Tadoba is the most popular tiger reserve in Maharashtra; it is unique – it has no notified core area, every corner is accessible. The beauty of the reserve, the abundance of animals and frequent sightings make Tadoba a memorable experience. Besides the fauna, Tadoba also homes a wide variety of tree species.Tadoba is so called because there is a temple by Tadoba Lake, dedicated to a local Gond eminence called Taru, who died fighting a tiger. Attraction: Royal Bengal Tiger, wild dogs, sloth bears, thickTeak forest and a beautiful lake.Flora and Fauna: The Park is open for most of the year but the best time to visit Tadoba is from Nov to May. The forest of Tadoba supports a variety of tree species, mammals – the main attraction being Royal Bengal Tiger, Sloth Bears, Gaurs, and Wild Dogs. There are also Cheetal herds, barking deer, Sambar, Chousingha and wild Boars.Tadoba is southern tropical dry deciduous forest of Deccan Peninsula; primarily teak forests along with Bamboo thickets. The major tree species are Mahua, Ain, Dhawda, Tendu and Jamun.

Itinerary:

Day 1 – Departure from Pune

Evening departure for Nagpur (TADOBA)

Day 2 – Reach Tadoba and enjoy Jungle Safari

Arrival Nagpur and Transfer by Jeep to Royal Tiger Resort Tadoba

Check in. Lunch, Afternoon Safari to Tadoba National Park in Jeeps/Canters. Evening tea / coffee with cookies, Wildlife film followed by Dinner

Day 3 –

Early morning wake up call with Tea / Coffee Depart for a Safari into Tadoba National Park. Breakfast will be served after the safari. Lunch Evening Jungle safari along the periphery of the Resort, Evening Tea/coffee, Wildlife movie, Dinner

Day 4 –

Wake up call with tea/coffee, Visit to Tadoba lake, Breakfast . Departure for Nagpur to connect train to Pune.

Day 5 – Arrive in Pune

Arrive in Pune with awesome wild memories.
