Creative writing is an essential part of Journalism. Magazines, Newspapers, online media platforms and so many other platforms rely upon creative writing to keep the readers engaged. Journalism is all about facts and figures but, this does not mean necessarily that it has to be boring. The content can convey the message at the same time be creative too. Journalists have the moral responsibility of not making mockery out of a serious issue by reporting it in a very casual manner. This too has to be taken care of.
Chennai’s Visualite Film Institute is now offering a 10-day summer workshop in creative writing in the field of Journalism. the workshop is being conducted through both online and offline modes for the convenience of those living outside Chennai. Due to this pandemic and the fear that there could be another lockdown, we have made provisions for offline students also to continue the workshop through online mode in case there is an unexpected lockdown all of a sudden. Those who attend this workshop and feel that their calling lies in the field of Journalism can further enrol for our certificate and Diploma courses in Journalism.
