Star Trail Workshop at Purushwadi by Mumbai In Pixels and Grassroutes
Photographing stars is challenging and time consuming. But the resulting images are always rewarding. To truly understand know how to shoot star trails, MIP has organized a Star Trails Workshop for participants to learn and shoot star trails.
Date: 28 Feb - 1March
Location: Purushwadi Village (200km from Mumbai)
No of Participants: 8 pax
Cost: 4,500 rupees per head (for 2 pax to a tent accommodations)
Coordinators: Ashish Chalapuram  and Shannon Heng 
This workshop will involve an overnight stay at Purushwadi village in tent accommodations. The group will depart from Mumbai on Saturdaymorning (28 Feb, 2015) and return Mumbai on Sunday evening (1 March, 2015). A theory session will be held on location in the day, and practical session will commence after midnight. Detailed workshop program will be share to confirmed participants.
Based on the response we will arrange for transport. The cost of travel from Mumbai to Purushwadi and back will be additional at actual. Some of us will be travelling with our personal vehicle, arrangement can be make for car pooling among participants. A whatsapp group will be created for confirmed participants to communicate.

We request all members who are interested to RSVP their confirmations by Friday, Feb 18, 2015. All payments will need to be done by Monday, Feb 20, 2015. If a participant who confirms but does not make payment by the due date then the first person on the waiting list will be accommodated.
This is a workshop that requires intermediate level of photography. Participants must be proficient in using and adjusting the camera setting ie. Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. Basic photography will not be taught in this workshop.
Camera Equipment Needed (not optional):
Wide angle lens - minimum 18-55 kit lens
Intervalometer (you do not need this if your camera has intervalometer functions)
Spare fully charged camera battery (optional, but highly recommended as there is no charging point at the village)
