The vast accumulation of data due to advancements in broadcasting technology and Moore's Law has created a large demand for structuring and processing data to make powerful empirical decisions. Sports Analytics Hackathon:
The Sports Analytics Hackathon presented by Shaastra, IIT Madras and Global Sports Commerce (GSC) will bring innovative and analytical minds together and create groundbreaking solutions in the sports industry. The hackathon is an event focused on impact, centered around Sports Analytics. It will have an online round followed by an offline finale where finalists are required to present their solutions at the Sports Tech Summit 2019.
The participants will have to provide solutions to the problem statements that will go live on 10th November. The problem statements would be based on Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. The hackathon will be held for a duration of 2 weeks and participants can avail mentorship, which would be provided by technical experts from GSC. Top 5 teams will be shortlisted to present their solutions in the finale which will be held during the SportsTech Summit 2019.
