Space Exploration Workshop for Ages 5-8

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Let your kids go over the moon in this 4-hour Space Exploration workshops. They'll work in teams to explore what lies beyond planet Earth in the most fun way by building telescopes, vacuum chambers, and roleplay as astronauts to truly understand what it feels like to be out in the space in the most hands-on way! 

What they will learn- 

• State what lies beyond earth
• Learners build their own telescope, understand how it works, and understand how it is used to look at objects in space
• Learners get to know how astronauts communicate in space - they build a vacuum system and prove how sound cannot travel in space while light can
• State that sound needs a medium to travel
• Construct a model to demonstrate light can travel in a vacuum
• Construct a model to demonstrate that sound cannot travel in a vacuum
• Roleplay astronauts communicating in space

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Q.Who will be teaching?

Trained facilitators who have undergone intensive training in learning psychology, classroom management, experiential & project-based learning methodologies for different tools filmmaking, electronics, programming, design and various subjects including science, technology, engineering, design, and arts.

Q.Will my child be required to bring anything from home?

No, all the equipment and materials will be provided.

Q.What takeaways will my child get?

Your child will get a certificate from Leo&Mike and an accordion journal where they have recorded their reflection and learning.

•  In case of the participant is not able to attend the program for any unforeseen circumstances then the buyer will get a credit note for the same amount that can be used for booking any of Leo & Mike's future programs.
• Tickets can be transferred for a different event.
• By signing up for this camp you give Leo & Mike consent to take photos/videos of your child as part of the camp. These photos/videos will be used as: 
  1) a record of the activity or the event
  2) an update on the WhatsApp parent group
  3) publicity material for promoting future Leo & Mike programs.
