Our flagship event, TCEI Event Excellence Awards, in the last 5 years, has become an iconic event of the Experiential industry in the country today. The success and acceptance of this one event by the industry, has encouraged us to conceptualize and formulate the very first South India Wedding Planners Congress (SIWPC-2019) @ Hyderabad.

Why Weddings? 

The big Indian wedding market often considered recession-proof, is estimated to be around $40-50 billion in size, according to a KPMG report last year. It continues to grow rapidly at a rate of 25-30 % annually. 

Indian weddings have one primary goal: to create a memorable experience by focusing on as much opulence as possible. That creates an opportunity in India,  and in other locations around the world to celebrate Indian weddings through a supportive industry.

Given the size of the wedding market, it is also one of the biggest drivers of sales especially in allied sectors like jewellery, auto and consumer durables and one of the sizeable employment generator too.

With almost two crore weddings taking place in India annually, a fraction of them fall in the category of Big-Fat-Weddings.

The historic and charming Hyderabad is one of the most prestigious metro cities in India today. Once the city of Nizams, it is now the most sought after business destinations in India.

Hyderabad – the city of pearls, royalty, infrastructure, opulence and love is essentially nonpareil in India. Hyderabad is anointed with a flourishing geographical location – Deccan Plateau. For being in the centre of the  country, Hyderabad is a nerve centre and a good feeding place for states like Chattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Konkan & Kerala.

The availability of world class infrastructure, Hindi speaking technical manpower, good air and land connectivity make Hyderabad the convenient epicentre to explore the down south of India.

The South India Wedding Planners:-

The wedding planning market in India is expected to hit Rs 1.6 trillion by the year 2020. In a survey conducted by Matrimony.com, 40.31% of males indicated that they are planning to use a wedding planner while 36.21% of females indicate yes for the same.

The elite South Indian wedding, is not simply an ostentatious celebration involving an unabashed display of money and glitz. It is also about traditions, rituals, and is a perfect concoction of modern trends and traditional ethos. 

The wedding industry in the south is lead by a strong team of wedding planners who are masters in their own realm. Though the industry in the south is not as vast as compared to Delhi & Jaipur, the professionalism in the South is second to none and the talent here is just waiting to be recognized.

With everything said and done, the weddings industry is still unexplored and potent in this part of the country. South India provides for a fertile opportunity for the businessmen to network and explore more and more avenues for the growth and development of the weddings industry.
