Sound engineering is a department that adds so much value to a film without being noticed much by the viewers. Sound is as important to a film as Visuals. This one day sound engineering workshop conducted by Visualite International intends to bring some perspective about the audio aspect of filmmaking among aspiring filmmakers and sound designers. The workshop is designed in such a way that it has both theory and practical sessions. Students can experience aspects such as dubbing, sound recording etc. real-time without having to pay for any equipments or dubbing studio.

Topics covered in the workshop:

-          Fundamentals of sound engineering

-          Various sound equipments and how to use them

-          Evolution of sound

-          The era of silent films

-          Understanding the sound needs of a film

-          Syncing audio and visuals and creating interesting films

-          Live sound recording and sweetening

-          Dubbing and foley

Eligibility:

Anyone who has a passion for sound engineering can join this workshop. There are no restrictions based on age, gender, educational qualification or prior work experience.

Highlights of the workshop:

Students can have a hands on practice session at our sound studio under the expert guidance of our experienced mentors. In case, any of the students have any work that they have done before, they can bring it to class and get feedback from the mentor regarding the same.
