Terms & Conditions

I fully understand that participating in an event such as the SLP 5k Run 2019 (Event) requires a high level of fitness and training. I certify that my ward is physically fit, medically able and has properly trained for participation in SLP 5k Run 2019 (Event), and has not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I understand that it is my responsibility to obtain appropriate medical advice to ensure that there are no health risks to my ward's participation in the Event. I further confirm that I am aware of the inherent risks of participating in an event of the nature of the Event, including fatigue (mental or physical), trauma (mental or physical) bodily injury, death or damage to property and I fully, willingly and knowingly take personal responsibility for the same.

I acknowledge that there are risks involved with running on roads, and notwithstanding the adequacy or otherwise of arrangements for traffic control, medical and other services made by Event organizers, their representatives and public authorities, the risks associated with my ward's participation in the Event are fully assumed by myself.

I understand and agree that situations may arise during the Event, which may be beyond the immediate control of officials or organizers. I agree and will also cause my ward to abide by any decision of race officials on participation and safety aspects in the Event, including their right to deny or suspend the participation of my ward for any reason whatsoever. In this regard, I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my/ my ward's behavior and actions and I agree and undertake that I/ my ward will comply with the Event rules as well as the instructions of the organizers. I further undertake that my ward will participate in the Event in a manner that will not endanger either others or my ward and that I/ my ward will not do anything that would cause nuisance or result in any form of interference or injury to any of the other participants, organizers, volunteers or any other person.

If my ward suffers any injury or illness during the Event, I hereby authorize the Event organizers and the medical support team to administer such medical treatment to my ward as is deemed necessary in the circumstances. I acknowledge that there may be circumstances where my ward may need to be transported to a third party facility such as a hospital or a nursing home for treatment and I hereby authorize the Event organizers and the medical support team to shift my ward to such a facility and I authorize all treatment that may be required in such circumstances. I confirm and agree to provide all medically relevant information to the Event organizers and the attending medical support team in this regard. I agree and undertake to pay / reimburse all the costs of my ward's medical treatment, including transportation to any third party facilities. I acknowledge that the medical support provided by the Event organizers and the medical support team is being provided in good faith, and I assume all the risks of any such treatment being provided to my ward and waive all claims that might result on account of any medical treatment or transportation provided.

Neither the organizers, the sponsors nor other parties associated with the Event or their officers, directors, employees, agents or other personnel shall have any responsibility, financial or otherwise, for any risk incident that might arise, whether or not by negligence, from any direct or indirect loss, injury or death that might be sustained by me or my ward or any other party directly or indirectly associated with me or my ward, from my ward's intended or actual participation in the Event or its related activities. Further, I agree to indemnify each of them for all loss, damage or liability suffered or incurred by them as a result of my/ my ward's actions.

I hereby waive and release the Event organizers, including Startup Leadership Program, Sponsors or any other parties associated with the Event in any manner whatsoever, from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action that I or my ward may now or in the future have against them, where such claim or cause of action has arisen or may arise in any manner whatsoever out of my ward's participation in the Event.

I agree to permit the above parties to use my/ my ward's name, pictures, recordings, and publications in social, audio-visual and print media for any legitimate purpose whatsoever.

I confirm that all the information provided by me is true and correct and is not misleading in any manner.

By completing and submitting the Registration Form I acknowledge that I have read and understood the terms of this waiver and release as above, and have agreed to comply with the rules and regulations for participation in the Event.
