Shiva Ratri yatra to 7th Century Temple Sri Lalitha Someswara Swamy near Krishna River

Sri Lalitha Someswara Swamy Temple is a highly revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed to have been built during the 7th century (700 years Old temple) . Somasila is a well-known tourist attraction of Mahabubnagar that consists of 15 temples. These temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva and are enshrined with several Shivalingas. The temple was shifted from old Somasila village to higher altitude to protect it from being submerged in Krishna water during the construction of Srisailam Dam. The surroundings of Somasila are also known for its scenic beatury.

Mahashivaratri and Karthika Pournami are the main festivals celebrated here. One can also take a holy dip in Krishna River which is near to the temple

Trip Itinerary
5 am: Start from Hyderabad.
8 am: Reach somasila followed by breakfast for those who are not fasting on that day
9 am: Visit SRI LALITHA SOMESWARA TEMPLE ALONG WITH 15 TEMPLES INSIDE THE TEMPLE AREA IT IS 700 YEARS OLD TEMPLE OF 7TH CENTURY, We can also participating in in temple rituals

11:00 am: Gather at boating point to visit LORD SHIVA temple which is in under water

1.00 pm: Lunch For the people who are not doing fasting
2 pm to 4:00 pm: Visiting ANOTHER 700 years oldest shiva temple in somasila WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF KRISHNA RIVER

5:00 PM TO 6:00 PM Gather at the meeting point which will be intimated by the organizers.
6:00 PM : START BACK TO HYDERABAD
9:00 PM: REACH HYDERABAD.
