Can you ever run away from your shadow? Can you ever hide anything from your shadow? But what if your shadow is unhappy with what you do and decides to leave, what then? This is the premise of the new play being staged at Leon’s World Centre for Holistic Learning and Development.
An Alchemy production which has been written by Thantika Taphadit and directed by Heeba Shah, the play is an interesting way of getting the concept across of following the good path and always doing right. The story follows the trail of a small boy who steals a lady’s purse and his shadow sees it and is very displeased with the boy’s act. So he leaves the boy and goes to shadow castle where all the shadows play together. The boy missed his shadow and realizes his mistake. Does he convince his shadow to return? Leon’s World Centre is continuing with its aim of providing quality entertainment for children. The plays always have a moral and teach life values to kids without being preachy in nature. Learning through fun, is the kind that stays with children and is in fact, learning for life.
