About The Event

About the event:

"Activity before Concept, Concept before Vocabulary". That is how one should learn science. Selected 23 experiments/activities from the middle school physics, chemistry and biology syllabi to help students learn science through experiments. These experiments will help them learn concepts better and foreverLet’s move children away from rote learning.

All the experiments are split into two modules of 23 experiments each. Both the modules are independent and can be done in any order. You can do only the one you like.

In Module 2, you would do the following experiments:

  • Make Your Own Soap
  • Making of electromagnet
  • Chromatography: Revealing the True Components of Colours
  • Gauss Rifle: Magnetic Linear Accelerator
  • Invisible ink
  • Plasmolysis: Contraction of plant protoplast due to water loss
  • Pond biodiversity: Exploring the hidden world of microbes
  • Pectinase enzyme activity: Extract the apple juice using pectinase
  • Natural Indicator - Make Your Own pH Paper
  • Elephant toothpaste
  • Making a lava lamp
  • Making a fire extinguisher
  • Transpiration: Explore plants perspiration
  • Finding presence of starch in leaves: Iodine test

About us:

Experient Science Labs, founded by Virendra Paliwal, an XLRI and Infosys alum, in 2017, has a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 2700 square feet. It is a go to labs for school students, our lab has been the venue for over 200 experiments and tinkering activities conducted by more than 3000 students over the past seven years. Serving as a hub for research and exploratory work, our lab is favored by students pursuing their international syllabus. At Experient Science Labs, we are deeply committed to experiential learning in science, firmly believing that it is the cornerstone for fostering a lasting interest in the subject and nurturing a scientific mindset in students. We advocate against rote learning in science, advocating instead for a hands-on approach that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to India's sustainable advancement in science and technology, thereby fostering a nation with a robust scientific foundation.
