About The Event

 

Trek to Harishchandragad via Sadhale ghat, The trail is behind to the famous Naalichi Vaat. The trek passes through the dense cover with gradual ascent to the col, few rock patches that involves climbing, later it ends near Kokankada.

The descent trek is gonna be another offbeat trek via Junnar Darwaja, a leastly used beautiful trail that passes through ridges, traverses as well as the crevice. Through this trail we reach Khireshwar village for lunch and bid adieu to the trek.

Harishchandragad has history way back from 6th Century. There are few trails to reach the top from different places. It got prominent caves, Concave shaped konkan kada, Harishchandreshwar temple and the highest peak taramati at an elevation of 1429 meters. It won't be a surprise to hear from a regular Sahayadri trekkers that they been to Harishchandragad few times from so and so route.

Trek Stats:

Grade: Moderate, Endurance: High, Total trek Distance: 25 k.m. approx.

Itinerary:

DAY1:

• Reporting time at Titwala railway station - 12:35 A.M. (Take 10:50 PM CSMT - Kasara Fast local train/ 10:51PM CSMT - Titwala Slow local train )

• Travel by hired vehicles to the base village from Titwala Railway station.

• Reach Walhivale village and rest till morning hours.

• Fresh up and breakfast - 1 hour.

• Ascent trek to Harishchandragad via Sadhale ghat - 7 hours approx.

• Reach Harishchandragad campsite and rest.

• Lunch break - 1 hour.

• Explore Harishchandragad - 90 minutes approx.

• Hike to Konkan kada from the campsite to enjoy the sunset laid in the backdrop of beautiful landscapes - 5:30 pm.

• Dinner break - 1 hour..

• Bed time in tents.

Day 2:

• Wake up call - 06:00A.M.

•Those interested may visit Taramati peak, the highest elevation of Harishchandragad at 5:00A.M. (Optional)

• Freshup & Breakfast at Harishchandragad - 1 hour

• Descend trek via Junnar Darwaja - 4 hours.

• Lunch break at Khireshwar - 1 hour.

• Return journey to Titwala railway station- 3 hours approx.

Expenses:

INR 1700 per head, Inclusive of to & fro transport from Titwala by hired vehicle, Breakfast, Lunch, dinner, tent stay on DAY1 & breakfast, Lunch, on DAY2.

How to Register:

Step -3: Now your participation is confirmed & Organizer will create WhatsApp group on the day of the event for coordination, We will coordinate through SMS/ Call if participant is not available in WhatsApp.

What to Wear:

Trekking shoes /outdoor boots with good grip.

Comfortable quick dry clothes (avoid jeans).

What to Bring:

Carry a single rucksack with the following things:

Minimum 3 liters of water.

Sleeping bag or blankets for bedding

Cap/Hat.

Dry fruits, ready to eat food, chocolates, snacks.

toiletry kit, sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent.

Spare set of clothes, Extra pair of socks.

Head Torch with spare batteries.

Don't wear jewelry items and expensive accessories.

Strictly no littering, carry extra bag for non biodegradable(plastic) wastage.

Personal medicines if any.

ID Proof is mandatory.

Instructions:

participants should bring an ID Card for their own safety.

After online payment participant will need to fill up the mandatory disclaimer online form with accurate details else will be asked to refill by the event host.

Please do not cause delay and cause inconvenience for others and impact the schedule if you are not able to reach the pickup point on the said time.

Below 16 must take the consent of the parents to participate.

Participants will be notified in prior when itinerary is modified/ event gets cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances.

If there is an unexpected change in weather during the event, organizer has rights to withdraw/ retreat.

Do not play music or tease animals during trek.

Avoid deodorant or perfume in treks.

Participants should pay for the expenses that are not mentioned in the expenses.

Event schedule may delay or advance due to unforeseen conditions so timings haven't mentioned except in the event start and end time.

Alcohol consumption/ smoking tobacco/ weed is strictly prohibited. Will be expelled from the event If found with consumption.

Please do not litter any plastic, We commit our events to be clean with zero trace waste.

Washroom facility is inadequate at the campsite.

Participants should coordinate, disciplined and align together as a team during the event.

Please do not expect luxury facilities and appreciate being cooperative with fellow ramblers.

Though we assure safety as a top priority, Event Organizers are not responsible for any severe injuries or fatal events.

No group discount.

There won’t be any customized discounted price if bringing own tent/ coming self.

We rely on third party payment gateways to make the registration process simple and feasible; it also includes the convenience fee along with the main event fee which will be shown at check out that should be borne by the participant.

A refund of 50% is paid if the participant cancel their registration one day before the event or on the day of the event, refund of 60% if cancellation is done 2 days before the event.

No refund for no-show.
