About The Event

Syska Runathon of Hope is a Half Marathon Event recognized as a State Level Event by the Maharashtra Athletic Association organised by the Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune. This is the ninth edition of this event. 

The event is the biggest of its kind in the Pimpri Chinchwad area, attracting participation of about 10,000 persons each year.

RACE CATEGORIES: Half Marathon (21.097 km) | Hope Run (10 km & 5 km) | Corporate Run (5 km) | Charity Run (2 km) | U-16, U-14 Run for school children

Runathon of Hope is organized by the Rotary Club of Nigdi, Pune with the idea of generating funds for community development projects. It is part of Rotary International that brings together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.


Terms & Conditions

  1. Participants must report at least 30 mins before the start of race time.
  2. If chest BIB number was lost or misplaced, the participant will be not allowed to participate.
  3. No wheeled vehicles are allowed on the course at any time. All bikes, strollers, motorcycles, cars, etc. will be immediately removed by race personnel.
  4. Only registered participants may be on the course during the 3 hour event. Spectators are asked to remain on the sidewalks. Headphones are not permitted on the course.
  5. Participants must stay on the official course at all times. It is the responsibility of each participant to know the course and follow the appropriate color-coded signage.
  6. Decision of the organizing committee is final and binding on all participants.
  7. T-Shirt and BIB Collection will be available from 10th January – 12th January 2019, the details will announced closer to the date of the race and will be communicated with registered participants.
  8. You are aware that running / long distance running is an extreme sport and can be injurious to body and health. You take full responsibility for participating in the event and do not hold the organizing committee or any of it’s members or entities responsible for any injury or accident.
  9. You shall consult your physician and undergo complete medical examination to assess your suitability to participate in the event.
  10. You also assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity, traffic and the condition of the road, arson or terrorist threats and all other risks associated with a public event.
  11. You agree that Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune shall not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.
  12. You agree to abide by the instructions provided by the organizers from time to time in the best interest of your health and event safety.
  13. Age limits: Half Marathon (21 KM), 10KM and 5KM – 18 years on or before 13th Jan 2019
  14. You also agree to stop running if instructed by the Race Director or the Medical Staff or by the Aid Station Volunteers.
  15. You confirm that your name and media recordings taken during your participation may be used to publicize the event.
  16. You may acknowledge and agree that your personal information can be stored and used by Rotary Club of Nigdi-Pune or any other company in connection with the organization, promotion and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.
  17. You confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force majeure or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/cancel/postpone the event. You understand that confirmed registrations and merchandise orders are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be modified.
  18. The organizers reserve the right to reject any application without providing reasons. Any amount collected from rejected applications alone will be refunded in full (excluding bank charges wherever applicable)
  19. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever.
  20. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules.
  21. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the event organisers and associated organisers, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
  22. For any reason you cannot turn up on race day, no refund of any form will be given.
  23. Participants must personally appear for collecting the running Bibs. Bibs can be distributed in-absentee with written consent of the registered runners.
  24. Runners will not be allowed to stay on the course beyond the cut-off time considering the safety and health issues.
