Shivaji Maharaj's escape from the siege of fort Panhala on a rainy night, the Bijapur forces and the battle of Pawankhind culminating in the inspiring sacrifice of 300 Maratha soldiers under the leadership of the Great Baji Prabhu Deshpande is legendary. Borrowing some insightful snippets from our rich history and combining it with the hard core love for Maharashtra and India and for The Great Shivaji Maharaj, this race is an attempt to relive the history, rich culture and blessed geography of Maharashtra through race.
The route sketches from "Panhala to Pawankhind" in Kolhapur district .Participants will go through gut wrenching hills, forests, village back-roads, table land, thick vegetation, single track and muddy trails. Masai Table land in between route is one of the largest table land of Asia which is a paradise for runners. Weather is going to play a vital role with rains, fog and chilly climate making it more realistic for the runners . After all..Its a tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje.

Energy bar, fruits etc and water for race tenure, Rain Jacket , First aid kit, Haversack, Whistle, Water bottle, Good quality shoes, Torch ( especially for 42 km run),comfortable wear, extra pair of clothes.
