Ropio Foundation Presents "Artees 2011-Wild Within" A T-shirt Painting Event At St. Columba's School
The event is organized to sensitize slum kids towards wildlife conservation using creative arts as a medium. Artees is a T-shirt painting event for art students and industry professionals so that children from slums can get an exposure to the creative industry and interact with the creative fraternity on a one to one basis. We begin with an informative session conducted by a Wildlife expert educating the children and participants about wildlife conservation.
Each participant is given a T-shirt and other material required to paint the T-shirt. The kids will be awarded half an hour to observe and interact with the art professionals as they paint their T-shirts. In effect, the children will start painting half an hour later than the professionals. This is a competition only for the professionals and art students, not the slum children. The winners will be decided by an eminent panel of judges from the art fraternity. The T-shirts will be sold at kiosks/stalls post the event for fundraising. Winners will get attractive cash prizes along with recognition in a leading publication. The kids get to keep the T-shirts that they will paint on.
Entry : by Registration, Rs. 300 (Students), Rs. 500 (Professionals)
