Riding Out To Mcleodganj and Trek To Triund

Mcleodganj, also known as “Little Lhasa (Tibet) of India”, situated in the outskirts of Dharamshala at a height of 2082 meters (6831 feet) above the sea level. A small and beautiful hill station with a blend of Tibetan and Indian culture.

The place is nestled amidst the mighty hills of Dhauladhars. Mcleodganj is known for its majestic landscapes, amazing culture and trekking trails.

Day 1 – 25 January 2017 (Departure from Delhi)
We leave Delhi by 8 PM from Maharana Pratap ISBT Kashmere Gate, New Delhi in a Tempo Traveller/Bus.

Day 2 – 26 January 2017 (Arrive at Mcleodganj and Explore nearby attractions)
Open your eyes in the mighty mountains of Dhauladhars. Mcleodganj is 490 km from Delhi, we reach there by 10:00 AM. Tea and Breakfast on arrival. Check-in in your rooms and relax a bit. After lunch, we will explore Mcleodganj. Visit to Namgyal Monastery, Bhagsunath Waterfalls and then get back to hotel by evening. After dinner, get prepared for the next day trek to Triund and take a good tight sleep.

Day 3 – 27 January 2017 (Trek to Triund)
Wake up to a cool and fresh morning. After breakfast, we start our trek towards Triund hill. The trek to Triund starts from Mcleodganj. The gradient of the trek is easy except some stretches and the total trekking distance is 9 km. The trail takes you through the dense forests of pine with some scenic views of the valley. One can probably find snow on the trail during this season. It takes around 5-6 hours to reach Triund. It is at an altitude of 2875 meters (9432 feet) above sea level. After reaching there, enjoy the evening with views of Kangra Valley and have dinner. Night stay in camps. 

Day 4 – 28 January 2017 (Trek to Snowline Café & Ilaqa Pass and get back to Mcleodganj and leave for Delhi by evening)
Wake up and get mesmerized by the breathtaking views of Dhauladhars. After breakfast, start your trek towards Snowline café (3200 meters) and Ilaqa Pass (3450 meters). After reaching there, spend some good time and create memories. Later we start our downhill trek to Mcleodganj via Triund. We reach Mcleodganj by 4 PM. Have Lunch ,relax a bit as we leave for Delhi by 8 PM.

Day 5 – 29 January 2017 (Reach Delhi)
We reach Delhi by 9 AM.
