About Ratangad

Ratan means Jewel in Hindi. This hill fort is indeed jewel in all the hill forts here in Sahyadri. It is located in the district of Ahmednagar and is located about 4255 feet above sea level. It lies in the Ajoba mountain range surrounded by great mountains of Kulang, Alang, Kalsubai, Katarabai, Ajoba and Ghanchakkar. Geographically Ratangad is at the banks of Bhandardara lake of Ahmednagar district. With views of lake and highest mountains in Sahyadris looks very much lost in time. At the base of this fort is ancient Lord Shiva (Amruteshwar) temple. About 1000 years old temple of Lord Shiva, the Amruteshwar Temple at Ratanwadi, is an absolute paragon of high class architecture of our ancestors.

Day 1

01:20 Assemble at Kasara Railway Station near ticket counter.

01:20 Travel from Kasara Railway Station to Samrad Village by Local Jeep.

Rest in till 6:00.

06:30 Breakfast at the base village.

07:00 Start ascending via Trimbak Darwaja.

10:00 Reach top. Explore the fort and Lunch.

13:00 Start descending via Ladder route – Ganesh Darwaja.

16:00 Reach Ratanwadi village.

Visit Amruteshwar temple.

17:00 Evening tea break.

17:30 Start return journey to Kasara by local jeep.

20:00 Reach at Kasara station and disperse.

• People may board same train from their respective stations of convenience

• Missing the train is missing Ratangad Fort Trek, no refund will be provided

• Trekkers should carry packed Lunch for this Trek

Cancellation Policy

• 75% refund if notified via phone conversation 8 or more days prior to the event date.
• 50 % refund if notified via phone conversation 4 to 7 days prior to the event date.
• No refund if the cancellation requested is less than 3 days prior to event date 
• No show No Refund.
• Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.

• If Trek get cancelled we will refund "Trek Amount" only.
