GROOMING BABIES PRESENTS CHILDREN'S RAMLEELA - 5th GLORIOUS YEAR
WINNER OF MAHARASHTRA KI MAHA RAMLILA - ABP NEWS 2016
It is a predominant practice to stage Ramleela during Dusherra in India. For young children to experience and relive this Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage, as proclaimed by UNESCO, we have produced dramatized children Ramleela with puppet characters. 2015 will be the third season for this show, after being staged at several international schools, prominent theatres and children activity centres over the past 4 years.
This 45 min puppet drama trails the journey of Prince Ram, Princess Sita and Brother Laxman from Ayodhya to Lanka, after being banished by their queen mother. It highlights their encounter with Lanka King Ravan and the resultant battle that lasted for 10 days leading to the triumph of Prince Ram – a day marked by the celebration of Dussehra. Since busting an idol of Ravan on this occasion has been the age old tradition, we have also created a balloon Ravan to give children the same feel and experience. The show is hosted by puppeteer and academician Sahba Bhandula along with puppeteer Dr. Pooja Jain. Our Ramleela is most enjoyed by children in the ages of 2-6 years.
