About The Event

As per National Steel Policy 2017 India has a target to produce 300 MT of steel by 2030-31, which will call for massive capacity expansion for most of the steel producers in order to protect their respective market shares. This in turn will require execution of large scale projects in the steel industry under very complex situations with the assimilation of new technology, integration and management of various stakeholder interests under a very dynamic business environment.

This calls for urgent action to identify skill-sets and methodologies that will enable players within the sector to effectively fulfil this growing demand. The success of a project lies in the interdependency, interaction and coordination among three major stakeholders:

- Project Owner / Client               - Consultant               - Contractor / Project Executor

To ensure key stakeholders contribute significantly towards the success of a project, an organization needs to integrate a structured project management methodology into their work ethos.

With this thought in mind, SAIL - Management Training Institute (MTI) and PMI will co-host the Project Management Conclave, 2018. Aptly themed - Structured Project Management - The Key to Project Success, the conclave will focus on ideation from thought leaders and key stakeholders in the Indian steel industry to overcome industry challenges to help organizations gear up for the massive change to come. The event will also serve as a great networking platform where delegates can interact with peers and share knowledge.
