PAMEX 2010

PAMEX 2010

About The Event

Highly Capital intensive with 120,000 or so, printing presses and 200 daily newspapers and thousands of periodicals, journals and language publications, the printing industry has thrown up demands for latest printing technology. Printing industry has also undergone transfiguration from sheet fed printing, to web printing, from low speed to high speed, B&W to colour printing, and so on. Industry experts indicate that the present level, of book printing exports is low and major percentage is accounted by stationery and converting sector. The publishing sector has already established the “type setting exports”. New technologies are coming into force else where, in the world and in India also digitisation has been introduced in Printing and Publishing. XML Standards are being developed for digitizing newspapers, forms or books. The potential for expansion is immense. Economic growth in the wake of liberalization & opening up of the economy, enabled more foreign direct investment in the Indian economy. With sustained growth in literacy, the demand for the very best in printing, publishing and packaging has thrown up challenges for the industry. All this, and the growing affluent middle class present INDIA as the market with opportunities. PAMEX 2010, the seventh edition of India’s internationally acclaimed exhibition of printing and allied machinery, gets ready to host the who’s who of the printing world in January 2010. With whole hearted participation guaranteed from each of its member associations. PAMEX 2010 is expected to be, in every sense, an event “Of the Printers, For the Printers and By the Printers”.
