Application Express 5 introduces a wealth of new features that enable developers to build these more intuitive, superior apps with ease. Join me in this session as I highlight the key concepts of good UI design, and show you how Application Express 5 and Universal Theme can empower you to build amazing applications. At the end of the session, you can utilize the Q/A to get some tips and tricks of developing a great user experience."
Speaker's Bio: Shakeeb Rahman is a Principal Software Developer at Oracle and leads user interface design for Oracle Application Express (APEX), APEX Packaged Applications, and bundled themes. He joined the APEX development team in late 2009 and has since made significant contributions to the core product in the areas of design, user interface, and user experience. Shakeeb also presents regularly on topics of design and user interface at several Oracle community conferences including the annual ODTUG conference.
Some of Shakeeb's contributions to APEX include the introduction of various new themes with releases 4.0 and 4.1; and the UI transformation of release 4.2, which delivered a brand new user interface, a suite of well-designed packaged applications, and a fully responsive theme. In addition, Shakeeb has been a key contributor to the design and development for the launch of Oracle Cloud and the Oracle Database Cloud Service.
