“Re-active” approach is costlier and time consuming and hence most of the companies are now switching over to “Pro-active” approach. Depending only on the Corrective actions-involves loss and it will be detrimental to the organization. A reliable product and process design provides a great leverage to the organisation.

This is possible by adopting tools like “Failure Mode & Effects Analysis” (FMEA), which will make the concerned to think in a wider and deeper way, before freezing the product and process design.
