NEUROMOTOR is the alter-ego OF Frédérick Talaa , ONE OF THE TRANCE SCENE DJ/PRODUCER PIONEERS AND ICONS.
In 1982, after studying piano and violin at a Music Conservatory, he discovers a passion for DJ’ing which leads him to form a Hip-Hop band for which he would compose and write songs.
In 1984, with the arrival of the first waves of New Beat and Acid House, he finds his preferred musical direction and starts collecting all the new music arriving from Detroit, Chicago, Germany and England.
Some years later he starts to organise his first events for big clubs such as ‘Amnesia’ in St Marteen in the Caribean islands.
In 1995 he becomes the resident DJ at ‘Khumaras’ in Ibiza. It’s at the end of this year when he gets into the studio to compose his first track and start his electronic music project around the Trance style called Neuromotor. Keeping Funk, Hip-Hop and Alternative Rock as influences, he creates his own style becoming one of the Techno-Psychedelic pioneers.
It’s in 1998 that his first track ‘After effect’, is released on vinyl and cd, by the label ‘Turbo-Trance Records’ and it becomes an essential hit of the genre. In the meantime many labels became interested in his project and sign up his first tracks.
His international career begins. After having played in Germany, Canada and Portugal, one of the major Techno-Psy Trance labels, ‘Acidance-record’, contacts him and signs him up to play as an artist of the label. Straight after this first concert for ‘Acidance-records’, Frederick releases his first album, ‘Neurodamage. It was with this album that his career was launched. He performs in many countries including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal, Emirates, North Africa, Israel, Russia, many eastern European countries, Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium, Spain, England, Ireland, Canada, United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru and Argentina.
‘Neurodamage’ is released in 1999 and sells about 50,000 copies. During the following 10 years he releases 3 new albums and over a hundred tracks on different compilations.
In 2001 he creates his own label ‘Mechanik-records’ and produces 3 albums for different artists and about a dozen compilations. In 2009 he leaves the label to focus on his own production and remixes.
At the same time, while he’s touring around the world, he keeps in continual touch with all the new production techniques of the big studios.
In 2008, he graduates from the SAE and he becomes involved in mastering and the teaching of electronic music production and composition techniques using the programme Logic Studio Pro.
In 2011, at the Apple Centre in Paris, he attends a course on the software Logic Pro 9, where he qualifies as a certified Apple ‘Logic Master Pro’. Having worked with this software programme, since the beginning of his career, he now becomes a professional electronic music production teacher/trainer.
