MSME Financing: Challenges & Opportunities

MSME Financing: Challenges & Opportunities

About The Event

One of the foremost challenges faced by MSMEs is lack of credit availability at right time and right cost. There is thus a clear need of evaluating and engaging with mainstream and alternative mechanisms for fulfilling the financial needs of MSMEs as the current financial system so far has not been able to support financing needs of the sector. As you are aware, the Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector plays a pivotal role in the overall economy of the country, besides contributing significantly towards employment generation. The conference will focus on the role of Banks and Financial Institutions for SME Growth, Credit Rating for SMEs, Introduction to Venture Capital and Private Equity Funds, Role of CFO for better financial management, Managing Financial Risks, Investment for expansion and diversification, NPA avoidance and restructuring etc.

FICCI is organizing a series of 5 seminars on the “MSME Financing: Challenges & Opportunities” in Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Jaipur and Hyderabad by December 2011. We have already organized the said seminars in Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore on September 14, 2011; November 02, 2011 and November 18, 2011 respectively. Each seminar was well attended by more than 100 MSME representatives besides policymakers, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, MSMEs domain experts, and senior government officials.

The seminar aims to bring all the stakeholders in MSME financing domain on a common platform to analyze and take corrective action for MSME financing. The media will also be invited and is expected to give extensive coverage to the seminar.

In view of the importance of the event and your association with the MSME sector I have great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the seminar. In case you are preoccupied, you may like to depute a senior representative from your company to attend the same.
