MiD DAY Initiative
‘A fight against Child Labour’
‘So long as little children are allowed to suffer, there is no true love in this world’
Their eyes have a spark, reflecting the hope of a bright future, but the tear trickling down, steals that hope and sadness engulfs them…
All is lost, as their life holds just one purpose – earn enough to survive till the end of the day
This Children’s Day, as the nation pays tribute to maker of modern India, Jawaharlal Nehru… His vision for children in India is lost amidst the growing number of child laborers toiling days and nights, to earn a single meal a day.
Over 60 million children battle the menace of Child Labour on a daily basis…
Bangalore houses over 2.5 lakh such children, whose innocence is stolen at a tender age and poverty and hunger, force them to make a living for their own.
If you support the initiative and have a photograph (from across Karnataka) that captures the true feelings behind that ragged and tired face of a child labourer… then we will present your photo to the world, in a hope to melt the tough hearts of those who mistreat children....
