Information Developers Foundation presents first-time online training of Madcap Flare.

MadCap Flare is a help powerful authoring (HAT) tool for creating documentation—help systems, service manuals, and more—in online and print forms like HTML5 and PDF. In this course, we first explain the concept of single sourcing tools, benefits, explores Flare's conventions and interface.Then explains how to create projects based on Flare 12's "topic model." Learn how to create projects, add content, add navigation to let users find information quickly, control the format of the material, define different outputs from a single project, and generate those outputs in any of 16 different formats. Information Developers Foundation mentor will hold you on every step till you become a professional level user of Madcap Flare.


Led by Rahul Karn, this 3-day online training course will cover a variety of topics including creating a project in Flare, importing content (such as Word projects), publishing content to print,  and to the web.

This course was designed for new users, but it includes numerous tips, advanced techniques, and challenge exercises for experienced users.

Course Overview
This course uses a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice to introduce the major features of Flare. By the end of the course, you will have the skills you need to develop online and print targets such as help systems, knowledge bases, and user guides.
