Calling all talented college students of Mumbai! Have you been overshadowed by others and prevented from shining forth? “Let’s Act”, a college-level competition with outreach across 70 main colleges of Mumbai, will enable you to display your acting talents without restriction. This event, being held in aid of ADAPT (formerly The Spastics Society of India set up by Dr Mithu Alur), is being organized by Helen O’Grady International (HOGI).
Ms Arpita Mittal, CEO (India) of Helen O’Grady International, pointed out that this competition will allow an unrestricted number of teams to enter the competition from each college, so the field is not restricted to a small number of students who participate in theatre year-after-year. The last date for receiving entries is 15th December.

A minimum of 25-30 teams from Mumbai’s colleges are expected to present a 20-minute play in the full-day preliminary rounds to be held on 24th December at Ravindra Natya Mandir Mini Theatre. For collegians who love English amateur theatre, 24th December will be like a full-day theatre festival.
The five teams selected by the judges in the preliminary rounds will go on to the finals of Lets Act Drama Competition, which will be held at the Sophia College Auditorium on 5th January 2013.
HOGI will take many talented students identified at ‘Let’s Act’ Drama Competition -- and not necessarily the winners – and hone their talents to perfection at their Youth Theatre workshops. These students will also get an opportunity to showcase their talents in commercial plays in 2013.
