Kids and technology! The one thing most parents are concerned about is how to get their kids away from their gadgets – i-pads, smart phones, laptops…Leon’s World Centre for Holistic Learning and Development understands these concerns and that is why Leon’s World is constantly endeavoring to introduce children to art and culture in an interesting way that gets them ‘unplugged’! In fact, the play being hosted at Leon’s World on the 12th of May is related to the topic of kids who are addicted to technology.
The play, Karate Panda, is written and directed by M Ali Khan and is staged by the Comos Theatre Foundation. The central character is a Panda who is lazy and completely addicted to digital technology. The story highlights the importance of teachers and parents in our lives and the values they impart. Without giving any spoilers, let’s just say that the Panda comes to realize that his weaknesses make him special and different from others and can actually be his strength. The cast of Karate Panda includes M Ali Khan, Dr. Pradeep B Vishwakarma, Afroz Alam Ansari, Mukta Chadha, Tripti Singhal, Manjeet Singh Makkar, Moumita, Akash Rathore, Nitish Kumar, Swagata Saikia. Comos Theatre Foundation is a NGO and well known theatre group based in Mumbai since 2015 and has been staging its different plays like Shaadi Khaana Aadbadi, Compromise, Tax Free, Pakistan & Alzheimer, Karate Panda etc.
