Kanha Wildlife Tour

The Park is respected globally for saving the Barasingha from near extinction. No doubt, it is one of the best managed parks in Asia and a part of Project Tiger. National Geographic's award winning 'Land of the Tigers' was shot here, but the park is home to leopards, wild dogs and Barasingha as well.

Overview:

Spread across 940 sq.km, Kanha National Park is one of the largest parks in Madhya Pradesh where the majestic royal Bengal tigers are found in good numbers.  A safari in Kanha will surely get you thrilled, the way you were on your first trip to the zoo, as a child.

Itinerary:

Day 1

We depart from Pune by the Jabalpur-bound 3AC express train.

Day 2

We have breakfast on our arrival in Jabalpur in the morning and thereafter leave for Kanha. The road takes us through the beautiful Pench forest. On arrival in Kanha, we have lunch and proceed for a nature trail in the magnificent forest.

Day 3

We would be going on 2 safaris on this day. These safaris would cover different zones and hence a different topography. Kanha is replete with meadows, grasslands, thick forests, bushes and hills. We would be covering all these in our safaris today.

Day 4

We would be going on 2 safaris on this day. Hopefully, you should have seen a tiger by now!

Day 5

We make our way for one last time in the forest and try and spot all the species we did not get a glimpse of till now. After a heavy brunch we leave for Jabalpur from where we board our train for Pune.

Day 6

Reach Pune at 9:30 am.
