Kailashgad

Kailashgad is a small hill fort with scenic views of the Mulshi lake around and Korigad at a distance.

  • Height: 3300 ft above msl
  • Base Village: Vaduste
  • Grade: Easy

Ghangad

Ghangad is a small fort located en route between Tamhini and Lonavala. This fort was used for keeping a watch on the trade route from Pune to Konkan. The top of the bale killa gives a scenic view of the TailBaila, Korigad, Mulshi dam and Sudhagad fort.

Campsite

Our campsite is located at the foot of Kailashgad near the Mulshi backwaters. Trekking is not required to reach the campsite.


The Plan

20th Jan, Sat

  • 0930 hrs: Start from Pune
  • 1230 hrs: Reach base village, Lunch
  • 1400 hrs: Start trek to Kailashgad
  • 1600 hrs: Reach top
  • 1800 hrs: Back to Campsite
  • 1900 hrs: BBQ
  • 2100 hrs: Dinner and stay in tents

21st Jan, Sun

  • 0600 hrs: Wake up call
  • 0730 hrs: Breakfast
  • 0830 hrs: Depart for Ghangad
  • 0930 hrs: Start trek
  • 1230 hrs: Descend and start for Pune 

Fee: Rs. 2550 per person 

Includes: Travel by non ac pvt. bus from Pune to Pune, lunch, dinner, breakfast, veg/non-veg BBQ, stay in tents, bonfire, trek expertise. 

Excludes: Mineral water, lunch for day2, anything which is not mentioned.

Guidelines

  • Please come in proper trekking attire and trekking/sports shoes
  • Carry an extra pair of clothing, towel etc.
  • Carry some snacks, energy bars, electral and 2L water
  • Torch
  • Carry personal medicines
  • Do not participate if not well or injured
  • Please inform us if you have any medical condition
  • DO NOT LITTER
  • Trek fee is non-refundable
  • One has to follow the guidelines by the trek lead at all times, failing which may result in exclusion from the event.
  • Smoking/Drinking prohibited during the trek


Note: It is an adventure activity, we do take all the precautions for safety and timings but, things may go off-schedule a bit due to weather, injuries or other emergency situations. Please enjoy the trek and be a team. Trek leads decision would be final.
