Lahe Lahe and Aalamaram is excited to announce KAI TUTTU: A food for the soul potluck community dinner at our expression space.
Kai Tuttu in Kannada, meaning "morsel in the palm" - is a community ritual where the family gathers in an open space during the full moon, and the oldest woman of the family serves food to all members of the family. It is a time of bonding, connection and expression.
Let's co-create a warm and inviting evening with delicious food, good conversations, awesome people and varied expression.
*Bring a vegetarian or vegan dish for yourself and at least two more people*
*All cuisine varieties are welcome*
*It would be nice if you bring a vegetarian dish that you have prepared; however, if you are unable to cook, feel free to carry food that you have purchased*
*If you are carrying packaged food, please make sure the ingredients list on the package assures that it is vegetarian*
*If you’re unsure about what to bring then the best bets are fresh fruits, raw vegetables and fruit juices*
Please bring plates, glasses, bowls, forks, serving spoons. Everyone brings their own.
Please avoid plastic bags and non-recyclable packaging, plates, cutlery, etc.
We gather at Lahe Lahe, 4th Floor on Monday, the 20th Of June, 7:30 pm onwards till 9 pm.
