About The Event

IWFF, Hyderabad seeks to screen unconventional and hard-hitting films and documentaries to provide a platform to the people of the city for interactions and discussion on issues related to women and gender.

The festival screenings are segmented into various themes, and each segment includes film screenings interspersed with panel-moderated discussions.   The themes for the various panels are

  Identity & Sexuality

  Violence against Women

The festival and the film screenings are free and open to all, and we do not have any sponsorships or associations with the Corporates to support us with covering our expenses.  We have tried to keep the budgets of the festival to the  absolute minimum, however, we have to cover the expenses of  travel and hosting for the film makers and artists, along with  other organizational costs.  We, therefore request patrons and donors to contribute generously to help support the festival.  All contributions will be acknowledged on our website and facebook page, and the expenses which have been covered using the donations will also be published therewith.

IWFF's mission is to entertain, inform, inspire, encourage and educate audiences to the the issues affecting women through film screenings and discussions. We honor those artists  and film makers who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, address complex social issues, and  inspire audiences through their cinema and art.
