Introduction

Internet of things (IoT) is an upcoming technology that makes use of internet to control/monitor electronic/mechanical devices, automobiles and other physical devices which are connected to the internet. It is also been labeled as the next Industrial Revolution and a new era of Internet. It is becoming an increasing topic of interest among technology giants and business communities. It addresses a broad spectrum of business functions and opportunities. Experts estimated that ~ 50 billions of IoT devices will be connected to Internet by 2020 and ~$1.7 trillion of IoT business opportunity.

Course Overview                   

This workshop is aim for students, practicing engineers, industrialists, researchers and entrepreneurs who are interested in the fundamentals, impact and potentials of the Internet of Things (IoT). The course will also be valuable for those who are interested in hands-on on IoT end-to-end use case implementation.

This workshop is designed for a day and will have both theory and practical sessions. First half session will be theory and will provide detailed over view of IoT technology. Second half session will be practical and  will have hands-on on IoT end-to-end use cases implementation using arduino platform

Note : Will provide IoT development kit (Arduino) for a team of 2-3 for hands-on

Pre-requisites:

  • Basic understanding of Programming/ing (for hands-on)
  • Need to bring Laptop with windows 7 or later version
