Workshop on Financing Infrastructure Projects

5th – 6th March, Le Meridian, New Delhi

The financing of power, roads, railway, ports, telecom, real estate, education etc. in India is one of the biggest opportunity. However, given the scale of potential infrastructure deficit, it is a huge challenge where conventional methods of financing infrastructure projects are no longer sufficient!

Infrastructure project financing strategy requires a combination of Promoters, PE/VC, Bond (Domestic and Foreign), Debt and Public Private Partnerships as potential sources of funds. Further, in recent years, there has also been a change in approach about "risk sharing", "governance” and "Value for Money" resulting in changes in how services for public sector users are procured and performance evaluated.

This Smart Wave Centre for Business Excellence Workshop on Financing Infrastructure will provide you with an intensive overview of the core principles and practice of infrastructure project finance. You will gain a greater appreciation of 'project pitfalls' as well as grasp a thorough understanding of the crucial factors influencing the choice of financing methods for infrastructure projects; the motivations of the parties involved; risk evaluation and allocation; capital structuring issues; and lessons from the past.
